BWCA 2018 Thomas Lake Loop

Written by

This is our 2018 trip to Thomas Lake in the BWCA. Our entry point was Snowbank Lake #74 the last week in August. We paddled to a 5-star site on Thomas the first day. That was a long day, but manageable. We spent three nights there and then moved to a campsite on Hudson Lake to make our paddle out the next day easier. We came out on Lake One’s entry point #30. We parked one car there used it to retrieve the second car back at Snowbank. That worked great and allowed for a point to point trip. We couldn’t catch any trout on Thomas so we missed the grand slam. The northern, walleye and smallmouth were active all week.
