On this week’s episode of Onboard Lifestyle we talk about the emotional side of getting Teal’s Captain’s License. It was a big moment for the sv basik crew and a dream fulfilled that was long overdue. Come back next week to see a brand new video as we refit our 1993 custom 435 catamaran in preparation for world travel…see you then!

We're not surprised you came top of the class. Congratulations!
Good on you.
Congratulations, I am not surprised you earned Top of the Class honors~ well done Teal!
Congrats Teal. That is awesome. I second Brett Swampy's comment below.
Well done captain.
Congratulations !
Congrats! I really enjoy watching you guys. Your level of detail is amazing, and you make it fun to watch. Inspiring! That old trimaran was a cool boat. If you have any more video of it that would be neat to see. Thanks!
WOW! I'm lost for words as there are so many emotions running through my mind, body and soul. I don't know where to begin. So, CONGRATS on your CAP-I-TAIN licence for starters. And top of your class as well! Of course we never doubted your OCD would pull you through and get you to the top!!! And there was Linh to fully support you. So cool watching Emma flash those cards at you with her ear to ear grin. How beautiful that she could help her father achieve this amazing goal! That's just magical. BTW…nice shot from up above as you were walking on the path. That shot took some time and effort. Some peeps watching don't have a clue how much effort goes into producing a good video. PEACE OUT! Ü
Congratulations, and good job Teal.
Congratulations
Well done on the Captain's license! It's really an amazing channel when you think about it. Informative, creative, professional and classy. All this in a sailing channel, without even sailing. Imagine how much fun it will be when you're actually out at sea. Thanks!
Hey Emma was in my class last year tell her I said hello and I miss being in Ms.Landa’s class with her
Hearty Congratulations!
Wow 10 dislikes… What's up with people. Well done Teal great achievement .
Congrats Cap
Congrats!
Congrats, my wife and I are taking all the ASA courses right now. One question, doesn’t a captains license require hours on the water in addition to passing the exam?
Congratulation captain … salute u
Congratulations expected nothing less
Welcome to the world of the Merchant Marines, congrats from a Chief Engineer Oceans Unlimited
Congratulations Captain, very inspiring in all you do!
Congratulations
Nice one Teal, a great achievement, what an honor to earn the Black Cap. Your family are justifiably proud.
With your experience crewing and years of playing boats , a life style with the sea , is that little book going to make a difference , the problem I see with a lot of live aboard they can’t seem to let the dock go and go , I know what it’s like ,,, casting off ,,, but we com0leted two circumnavigations over 12 years , most people doing this just need reassurance with decisions on the water and there off cast off get going
Does this mean you can be in a rum commercial like this one?

Congratulations Captain, this is the first video I’ve seen of yours, I’m going to subscribe for more. Thanks for the great content.
TEAL !!!!!! Welcome to the club !! The Master 100 Ton club. Got my license 10-years ago for exactly the same reason, personal achievement. I also took a big class with all the same stuff, in Portland Maine, right on the harbor wharf. USCG, Master 100 Ton with a sailing endorsement, any ocean. I am soooooo happy for you. You are such a hard worker and I knew you would pass in spades. Bravo 🗣👍👌👊✌️⛵️⚓️🎉🎉🥂
awesome dude congratulations
Big congrats Captain and best from HKG
Well done mate! good stuff! cheers from Australia
How do you present evidence to document your sea time? Do you just present your boats log book? I seem to recall the requirement for a six pack license is something close to 365 days? Is it more for 100 ton master? Also could you add a link to the course you took in the description?
Great result! Well done Captain.
Congrats Cappy!
Congratulations! That achievement is a big one that I would also love to make happen. It has to make you feel more confident.
I thought your name sounded familiar. I remember you from the First Aid Class. This is such a wonderful piece you have made here about your experience with getting your license. I’m also enjoying some of your other videos as well. Thomas
Look at Gemma's face and that hug @12:20. You made me cry. Congratulations Captain. I regret I can only give you one thumbs up.
Well done ,I'm super jealous Bud.
